Candles have a "burn memory"...did you know that? Let me explain what that means, the first time you burn your candle will determine how your candle burns from there on out. In order to get the perfect burn out of your candle each time you MUST burn your candle until the entire top of the candle liquifies. This will prevent what is known as "tunneling".
Oh, and that's not all! Make sure you burn your candle until the top liquifies, but never longer that 4 hours at a time. When you burn longer than 4 hours carbon will build up on the tip of your wick causing soot.
I have tons of tips, tricks and candle jeopardy knowledge so let me break it down for you right here.
- Burn until the top liquifies but no longer than 4 hours per time
- Trim the tip of your wicks between each burn
- Your candles have a memory
- Candles cure over time, the older the candle, the stronger the scent
